Andrew H. Chen

Managing Partner

Andrew H. Chen is Managing Partner of Arion Ventures. Arion Ventures is a strategic advisory firm that provides various management consulting services including private placements and strategy consulting. Through this capacity he works closely with family offices, venture capital and private equity firms.

He also currently lectures a graduate course on emerging technology and entrepreneurship part-time at the School of Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is an Entrepreneur In Residence at the PolyU Innohub. He also currently advises numerous other venture backed startups. Andrew also mentors at numerous other accelerators and incubators including Eureka Nova, the startup accelerator of the New World Group.

Prior, Andrew was the Founder and CEO of Menuscript. Previously he also worked as a corporate consultant, where he worked with a wide range of organisations to solve strategic issues. Through his engagements he has worked with early stage ventures, Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions, non-profit organisations, and social enterprises.

Andrew grew up in Toronto, Canada, is a graduate of University of Toronto where he graduated with high distinction and currently has resided in Hong Kong for 15 years. In his spare time he volunteers within various causes focused on education and social services and mentors recent graduates and current students.

Daniel P. Chan

Partner

Daniel Chan is a seasoned supply chain management professional with extensive background in various Fortune 500 companies, and successful track record managing regional/international operations and projects. Daniel was co-founder of a eCommerce Online-to-Offline (OTO) fulfillment startup, responsible for the strategic management and daily operations across the company, advising customers on omni-channel strategy and end-to-end system integration. Prior to that he was Senior Supply Chain Planning Manager of Asia Pacific at Microsoft, managing the regional Sales & Operation Planning function which includes collaborative forecasting across multiple channels, demand & supply planning, inventory optimization and new product introduction. Prior to joining Microsoft, Daniel worked as Leader, Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning at Bloomberg. In the 16 years prior, Daniel held various senior supply chain positions at Nortel, Nike, General Motors and BASF. He holds an MBA and Master of Logistics & Operations Management degree from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Toronto.

Karen Lau Pascu

Karen Lau Pascu, based in Hong Kong, is a skilled professional in investor relations and social innovation. She earned a BA Honors in Politics with Economics from Goldsmiths, University of London. Karen began her career in 1999 at Pacific Century Insurance Holdings Limited, enhancing her skills in financial reporting and stakeholder communications. She later joined iPR Ogilvy as a Consultant in 2005, contributing to the first U.S. listings of Chinese companies and spearheading investors’ perception studies.

Karen held prominent roles, including Vice President at Stimulus Investor Relations Ltd. in 2009, and Head of Investor Relations at Golden Meditech Holdings Limited in 2010, where she managed extensive global investor relations activities. She founded Intaphase Solutions Limited in 2013, offering innovative outsourcing solutions for SMEs, and served as Associate Director of Investor Relations at China Vanguard Group Ltd from 2015 to 2016.

Beyond her corporate roles, Karen is deeply involved in social innovation through her volunteer work with Wofoo Social Enterprises since January 2017. She has established a strong network of social entrepreneurs and launched “Wofoo SITE,” a volunteer advisory board program backed by university research to support social entrepreneurs in Hong Kong.

Robert W. Lim

Robert Lim is a private equity professional with 20+ years of experience. 

Robert is currently Principal and the Deal Director of TransAsia.  He is a seasoned career private equity professional with over 15 years of relevant experience in North and South-East Asia. He has held senior roles in his previous posts and has managed teams of analysts prior to joining TransAsia as Principal. Before joining TransAsia, he was a Managing Director at the Private Equity arm of Ajia Partners, an independent Asian alternative investment group and worked on growth capital deals including a focus on consumer and restaurants sectors. Prior to Ajia Partners, Robert was an early team member of the Asian private equity division of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Earlier in his career, he managed global mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for Bank America Corporation. Robert holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
